It doesnt look 27ft in the pic. more like 18-20ft. As Peaky says, it might look good but that doesn't always transfer into speed on the water.

Going on the scale of the Harken self tailer in the pit being about 6" diameter it looks pretty close to 27'! The shed is also huge (hence how the mast is up) so its deceptive.

I want to see the canting mechanism for that keel! Its gotta be something manual because theres no way they would get an engine, hydraulic pump, reservoir, PLC control system and 2 huge rams inside that thing!

Looking at it I think I see a boat that needs considerably more depth of water to tack in than it needs to sail in. If I'm correct that might lead to some interesting situations. |
