ive been sailing nearly all of last week and all weekend and theres another race today at hill head. i love the easter hols. i even did well on saturdays race, i was right behind or even infront of the guy who normally wins a lot for a while then as i came into the leward mark the hook for the outhaul came out of the eye on the clew and i had to stop sitting head to wind for ages to get it back on.
600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.
Also International 14, 1318

Ha ha no it was quite hard work but the boat was so fast and a joy to sail i didnt care tbh. I had my own targets to beat the B5s which we did (at least some of them) and not come last or capsize which we managed which was all good. But coming down the harbour with your kite up doing 15 knots ups definately makes you plan ahead

Today on the other hand was a different story .12-15 knots and using the light wind rmw set of sails the boat flew upwind. me flat wiring and the helm not a lot higher. Sailed through about 2-3 800s upwind like they were'nt even there. Down wind was a diffeent story, the boat took off and with a course that took us over the harbour. A 2 mile spinnaker run was a great feeling .
Competition in the 14 fleet was very tough with ex 470 olympic squaddies in the ranks along with mark upton brown the 50h world champ and general othe 14 vets.
Common on guys, come join the class. You cant get better :D

im not sure what the wind was at hill head because the anememometre was hidden bhind the club and the club is hidden behind some trees and it was still reading 20ish knots. aparently bramblemet was reading 30-40 but i didnt see it. anyway kite rollerblading is fun.

The windsufers were allowed out but there was no safety cover provided for them and boats are not allowed out without safety cover
