Just found this discussion, Thought you might be interested in the project that I am undertaking with a friend. Although it is 7ft 7 inches and therefore not a 6 ft skiff you may be able to learn from the mistakes we will inevitably make. We are building it from standard ply with a foam core fiberglass reinforcement (currently halfway through being put in). The only rig we currently have is from a laser 2, so wont be as extreme as we would like, but will put on anything larger that we can lay our hands on once we have managed to get the currently planned set up working. Tomorrow we are planning to start installing racks and complete the foam core in the cockpit floor. You can see the basic hull shape from the photo (I think it's uploaded :P ), we were aiming for a flatter transom, but the ply was starting to split even after being soaked for two hours so we decided not to try to twist the panels any further. Any comments or suggestions would be welcome
