Laser 2's are only fun if someone else is sailing them. Sorry, I just really hate them, about the only boat I would say no to if there was a choice of "sailing in a Laser 2, or no sailing today" |

About the Laser II with the bent mast. That's quite easily straightened. Get some old tyres and rest it on them so that there are no hard spots and bend it back again. It'll be better than a new one. Yes, did you know aluminium "work hardens" when a mast is new that's just when you have to be carefull not to bend it. When you've sailed it a few times you can take it out in the really strong stuff becuase it'll be stiffer. When that one is straight, and with care it can be made so, it will be stiffer than it was and at the same weight that's got to be a result. |

But as you work harden it - next time it bends itll prob. snap! By all means bend it back - but jus wait until it goes! Or jus Lob on a carbon rig - far better! |
