Poor Ratface, another visit to the doctor and more weeks from not sailing.

He will inform us later but I am not sure the boat beat him up, more his body telling him something, the boat didn't hurt him.

Awsome day at Draycote today 300'ing ... plenty waves to play with ... inbetween the mahoooosive gusts. Welsbourne airfield just a few miles up the road had a gust of 38 knots at 2:15  ... right in the middle of our second race ... great fun.
ChrisG was right on it during the first race  ... while I was well and truly put through the spin cyle think I fell in 9 times in the first ... got cold and ran for the shower

Awesome at Bowmoor in the 300, i couldnt get off the beach in the first race capsized a few times and couldnt start due to being stupidly cold!  Second race i got in the groove.  Damn this boat is awesome on a broad reach!!  Top gust recorded 35 knots at fairford airbase which is pissing distance top gust was 74 kmh or 40 knotts!!!!!

My Tonic reminded me just how unstable it is yesterday, with a couple of windward splats, one before the start and one after having decided it was foolishly windy and was sailing back to shore. The second one propelled my over the bows of the boat and into the water infront, which at least amused onlookers, but I ache today, after less than 1/2 an hour's sailing!

Went for a blast within sight of Alexandra Palace on Sunday- not many people turned up, so there was a lack of racing. Clearly, ideal conditions to be testing out our fatter-headed main... though we only went in due to a too-timid gybe.

Did wonder if what I'd been claiming about sheet loads etc on the B14 stand counted as "lies". Got some practice in as regards shoulder-barging my helm to the back of the rack when the bow goes down, too. Superb fun.

I woke up to a bright sunny Sunday morning

Went and got the papers in shirt sleeves

Blowing F3 - F4

Cursed my helm who does not sail during the winter

By 12.00 it was cold, raining, snowing, hailing, and blowing a hooley

Love my helm - he's a great bloke

Totally agree.  Lovely helm who decided not to sail this weekend. Did consider sorting my boat out and going for a sail, then the sky went grey.

So, went for a walk with my flatmate.  The wind picks up, the sky goes black.  Told him, it was going to rain in about 5 mins.  He disgreed.  I sprinted to the warm, dry pub.  He didn't... arrived about 10 minutes later soaking.  Moral of the story... always listen to a sailor, they know best.

well, it appears me and lasers don't get on anymore...
trapped nerve in right arm and a lovely hairline fracture just above my elbow, and its the boats fault, happened just as the boat sped up mid reach
