I hope somebody's got photos because it was bizar at Bough Beech today.  Firstly it was cold and windy and as we rigged the 4000 it snowed so that when we launched we could scrape it away from the tramps.  It was supposed to be a pursuit race and I was expecting a big turnout - but I think there was less than 12.  Most of the snow melted as we got onto the boat and so too did the wind.  We could just about keep the boat going to windward but on the next leg the only way to keep the kite filled was to sail at 90 degrees to the layline, gybe and sail back agiin at 90 degrees.  We eventually pointed the boat at the mark and let the kite collapse.

At the finish we had caught a Mirror and a Topper, then just as everybody else was landing the breeze came up a bit and we were trapezing and the sun came out.  Later in the afternoon there was a nice breeze and a bit of sun whilst we comiserated over a beer.

Was out today for the Easter Egg Series in the Laser.

After the snow cancelled sailing yesterday, meant all was to play for. I won it as no one could be bothered to freeze for the second race!!

The 9er kites sort of fitted but you have to rake the rig back i feel to gain the curve in the sail. The black on was holed quite severly shame as could of been repaired easily.
Howd u lads get on?
Cheers,
Alex

I did't go out today, sat in the office on water watch and satying warm. Bloody freezing though, not even wet and after a least 2 mins my face was numb.

Watch my brother windsurf... lasted 10mins and then gave up to the hot shower, he couldn't talk he was so cold and hands were so painfull.

I can't wait for summer!

i went out in the 600 today for the easter bunny/duck race and didnt get anywhere near the duck. but it was a great sail. it was soooo incredibly gusty and shifty, it was really hard work but its really sharpenned up my 600 sailing. i lost count of how many capsizes i had today but it was somewhere around 15 or 20 . unfortunately i ended up on the beach, i came round the leeward mark for the final beat and my main halyard jumped out the cleat as i capsized. having sailed all of the race despite numerous capsizes i was determined to finniish so started to sail up the beat with the main about a foot from the top of the mast. as i got close to the bach i tried o tack and it all went a bit wrong and i couldnt tack and i ended up having to capsizes to stop it hitting the groynes. so i walked the boat into the beach and stuck it o the rack and set about getting the foil up and sail down. in the end some guys came and helped me carry the boat up the beach and i went to get the trolley. i was really anoyed, i sooo nearly finnished.

EDIT: i managed to do 1 whole lap without capsizing though which is better than one of the lasers. and the boat wasnt damaged at all.
