we held a coaching session at Hunts this morning which went so well and was such good fun that two of the participants decided they too would trundle over to Grafham to get trashed in the Grand Prix.  Two others had already decided to go and coughed up the entry despite knowing they aren't going to trouble the chocolates.

I think there's a lesson in attitude to be had here.
the same, but different...

Grafham were going to give the Farr 3.7 a handicap of 1015. Which seems harsh to me. But hey maybe it is that fast?

....  can't resist a bit of 'devils advocacy' ...

So if the 'faster' more 'open water' classes deserve to get a punitive dip in the applied PN on these 'larger' bits of water and the 'slower' and  'more maneuverable' ones maybe get an adjustment the other way it begs a further question or three ...

Please then can us in those in the alleged  'faster' 'less maneuverable' boats have corresponding but opposite adjustments when sailing on smaller bits of water.  The official PN's are national averages after all therefore .....  ;-)

.... oh and another thing why can't a few of us have an age allowance as well   - say 1 PN point per year added for those over 40 and 1 point off for those under (excepting FF crews of course !)

Happy New Year !

Mike L.

I like your plan regarding smaller waters Mike, say 60 points on the 600 at Burghfield should do it!

Are you taking the Icon to the GGP Mike? The forecast looks good for tomorrow.

Neptune - I was thinking you in particular might just like that idea.  Said in a jovial manner but a serious point.  Fair is fair ... for all ...or have we got that wrong  ?

Peaky - GGP ? not this time as committed elsewhere tomorrow but if you are going good luck.  Maybe we should race together at Chew or even BSC some time.  RU doing 'The Dash' btw ?

I'd hoped to do this, but so far haven't managed to get some tramps sorted for the wings, so maybe next time..
