I'm afraid I have yet to see a well sailed Vago, (always seem to have their battens inverted for a while after tacking), so can't comment on its performance, but I would be interested to see a comparison with a Fireball in a breeze.  We have a few of both at my club but they never appear on the water at the same time. (And, no, the Vago owners don't have Fireballs as well).

In which all the alternatives you mentioned will get horizoned by 49ers or Tornados just as thoroughly as the Vago... Once one has taken the decision to have a moderate performance boat, does whether its 20 points of PY faster or slower really matter very much?

If they're racing in the same h'cap fleet, yes! Especially disheartening when your Vago, according to PY, is supposed to be quicker than the V3k & Buzz. 500 might struggle there too (960! can't wait to see it...)

Think Tornados and 49'ers are a tad more than £5k new too...

V3000, RS500, maybe even a Buzz, if you're not going to quibble over a couple of hundred quid.

You guys did well coming in third behind Jo Richards at the weekend in Weymouth. It is nice to have some support for the Vago on this forum from some one other than myself, Viva las Vago!

I suppose that instead of the mast flexing off at the tip when a gust hits the boat flexes and the mast position moves accordingly, quite clever really
I might be sailing it, but it's still sh**e!
