Exactly as above.

I've written off racing for this year, whatever we manage for what's left it'll be such a cobble up and chew on as to not be worth the grief.

Free sailing simply for the pleasure of being out and doing quite a bit of back lane and forest track cycling, feeling good for doing both.

But put us in the same boat ............ we cannot even leisure sail together,  never mind actually race 😂😂😀

I believe you manage to sit on the same sofa for Virtual Racing, so it's not all bad.😂😂

You have been misinformed mate, I share the three seater sofa with sam and elaine has the two seater sofa to her self  LOL LOL LOL

I appreciate that sailing off a beach isn’t the same as sailing within the protection of a harbour, but I have been sailing a couple of times a week with five mates, rabbit starts, windward leewards ... probably 90% of the fun of an organised race, But with the benefits that we can pick good tide and wind, also can concentrate on technique that you wouldn’t normally do in a race, in my case I have an inclinometer and am concentrating on sailing flatter ... something that has eluded me for forty five years.

Not sure that you need a club to do this, just sail within your capabilities, keep an eye out for each other and carry some safety kit.
Happily living in the past
