Oddly, I have no other vintage Merlin pictures between 8 and 36. Someone with a scanner needs to visit Ranelagh so we can beat the Finn pics over the next week or two! |

I do think we need a rule that just one pic of each boat (unless the picture itself is stunning, of course, rather than just more of the same).
Real sail numbers should also feature more than personal regatta numbers. |

And both those Merlins in Mags old photo are still sailing now, 67 years after it was taken! Gently photo ready but just found this with month and day.

Nicely done on the OK picture there, Pat, especially as you had to think in American to make it work!
Today is the last day for 89 years or so that we can have consecutive numbers the English way round, 11/12/13. Next time will be on 1st February 2103...
What are the chances of finding a Laser picture to celebrate that stat?

I don't know about 8 but thirty six and 16 are certainly not triggers broom.  
These are how she looked when Chris Barlow took her on. 
And after. Most of the hull was sound. yes new decks etc but a credit to the skill of a seriously good woodworker. The mast was recovered as well. ps she is wearing 76s sails Edited by rogerd - 11 Dec 13 at 3:02pm |
