Rogerd's post on the GP14 event reminded me that we are getting closer to the weekend of 7/8 July, when lots of Jack Holt fans will be bringing their boats to Wraysbury Lake SC to celebrate Jack Holt's centennial.

As he was a racing man through and through, the event will have racing both days, but will also have time for people to swap stories, look at each others boats and compare and contrast original examples of his designs with more modern ones.

So, if you own or can borrow a Holt designed boat, please pop along! More details can be found at www.cvrda.org or at www.wlsc.org.uk.

Roger will be taking his sliding seat Hornet, and Jack Holt's own Merlin, number 16, will be there, as will a brand new Rondar GP14. There are also some amazing prizes on offer.

He wasn't suggesting that the Holt boats need burning, simply to find out if there was a place to dispose of the V-Twin amongst conciliatory friends.    LOL

I'm sick.

Not in a good way, graunched my boat yesterday.

Er: I wasn't suggesting all Holt boats should be burned, there must be one or two worth keeping in some sort of Museum.

.. and the details were  ? (.... naturally we expect a gravel to gelcoat interaction at terminal velocity given ... well, all the already known factors,  but if there is a better story we do need to know)  The V2 is one of the longer running 'soaps' when all is said and done Wink

WE shouldn't take Uncle Jack off topic, there's a bit about what happened in the choosing a boat thread which ironically has thrown up a challenger to the Blaze you might already be aware of.. Wink

It had to be done, because it is a thing of beauty at a fair price and I want something to keep down the Lake.
