The most ambiguous poll I have ever seen.
It's deliberate isn't it.......

Question "is it right or wrong...."
Answer "yes or no..."

There seems to be a syntax mismatch.

It is a little bit like the question "Have you stopped beating your wife?" Yes or no?

Yes, sorry chaps, I had to go into a meeting mid post so didn't really get time to sort the answers more thoroughly.

It was really a yes no answer as to 'Should a so called Series Manufacturer One Design (if that's what SMOD stands for)alter a boat in any circumstance'.

Take to another extreme, lets say Laser decided to upgrade their rig for example, my opinion would be the same, yes definitely, in fact I can't understand why they haven't over the years, hardly surprises me they are the subject of 'rumours' concerning their situation. (No I don't know anything, only what I've read here)

In the case of the Alto, yes, definitely.

Recommend:
1). new hull, narrower waterline, reduced weight by 20Kg;
2). change sails to mylar;
3). increase size of Asymm;
4). rig, two pairs spreaders, Carbon mast and boom, GNAV;
5). get a tiller and rudder that work without significant drag, also dagger board

6). Change your attitude and don't mouth off about things you don't understand because you don't listen...

The result will be a cheaper, but definitely less beautiful 59er... LOL

P.S. if you're not quick enough/fit enough to manage it, get another boat or a Zimmer Frame/white stick. Censored

P.P.S. why is it that the people who post most surveys tend not to know so much?... Ermm
Pass the skiff, man!
