For those who don't know the 29er shot features Pat and Andy (Bloodaxe) Paterson. I don't suppose Pat would welcome me saying just how long she's been a role model for women's high performance sailing, suffice to say that the first time I watched her disappear over the horizon in front of me was sufficiently long ago that half you folk weren't even a gleam in the milkman's eye...

I have to say that none of the pictures is great!

I'm bored of pics of 29ers, the second pic while showing great roll tacking skills just doesnt look exciting as you'd expect mid tack, while Kit is indeed a role model its not one of her most flattering pics (sorry Sten & Mrs Sten), and whoppeee a laser for the 4th pic.

I wouldnt want pics of 12ft skiffs or 49ers or anything thats is too aspirational for newbies but surely there are some good pics out there of 30kt Albacores, Phantoms, Fireballs dare I say Dart Sprints/15s showing a bit of easily atainable exitement!

If I had to chose, well I dont think I would

A good shot, but there isnt a dinghy in the picture at all!

nigel, joking aside that would make such a great cover shot for anything sailing related! has everything a picture needs, if that was one of the choices it would get my vote
