Can you identify this dinghy?

   Hi all,
Can anyone id this boat please? Length 4050mm, beam 1800mm, same size as a RS200 but somehow it's different. Has bowsprit. No HIN or maker's plate, no class logo on main either.
I'm an old-fashioned sailor and not up to speed with modern boats!

	Not sure its a comet as i have done some work for them and it does not look like anything they produce - poss a prototype of something that has hit the open market The internals look very rs or laser like? Stumped me!

	Topper Sport 14??? Haven't sailed one of those in many years, but it looks like it has some similar features. Transom looks odd though

	Is it a Beta, came out at the same time as the RS200. A little bit similar and no way as good, And bombed.

	Yes it's a Beta. I gather Simon Cory now builds the Buzz. He does pick 'em... Though to be fair I always saw the Beta as a small Laser 2000 rather than an RS200 competitor. Didn't think it looked bad in that role. Edited by Medway Maniac

	Looks like it has my least favourite early ninties assymetric design feature- the canting pole. I do mean to ask that Alto guy at the dinghy show at the weekend why he's gone with a feature that was on only two succesful dinghies, both designed by the same person around the same time and conspicously absent from every succesful design since. 	600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it. Also International 14, 1318
