Im looking for a FAST boat to sail on the sea. I need a challange but never sailed on a wire before. There seems to be a good northen circuit for the 300. Is 65KG too light?? any ideas.

With 65kg , you would need the A rig on the 300 (the smaller one) theres a shortage of 300's at the moment, so prices will naturally be very high and boats will be hard to find. Id go for the 600, having owned one, i loved every second of sailing it. Helming from the wire takes alot of practice to begin with, but is a valuable skill. and very rewarding! you will need the wide wings for the 600. Also they are pretty bulletproof!! Good luck

Go get a ride on both. They are really rather different styles of sailing and boat, so you need to know which you prefer... The smart money is one will appeal more than the other after you've jumped into them.

Ive sailed both the 6 and the 3 and they are both fantastic boats, although i do prefer the 6 tbh. As i am more into trapezing.

do they actually mean single handed? i know there are a couple of single
handed assy designs around, didn't realise the 12s could do that.

and for the money, well. for that you could buy a boss or 5k, but i know
which i'd rather have

.......now where did i leave my wallet.....?

£1100?  It's a bargain.  You barely get a 15 yr old laser 1 for that.

Looks a treat.  Has anyone here ever sailed one?  Is there more than one?

Who owns that now? last time i saw it at Plym, Steve Lang owned it. And ye its a single hander, the jib is self tacking, so that makes is slightly easier. Never seen it sailing though
