No idea! it's 1144 and been around a lot. Ten years old and done 8 nationals. I gather it was in the first year or so of the new decks when they churned out quite a few boats.

When we were buying we were set on the new deck style, as we thought it would better allow us to do run through / wire to wire manoeuvres, but Rory Hunter came 3rd in a 17 year old boat and plenty of people like the ergonomics of the old deck.

Well done, and particular credit for not only doing it in an older boat, but also planning to show others how to prep an older boat to make it competitive.

...and just when the fleet were beginning to think that the McEwans were unbeatable  Tongue

Na, best we did in the 200s was 3rd in 2011. It was a pretty big nationals and the standard at the front really high, so I'll take that. Won a few big opens and fed week a few times.

Well done and there was I thinking you'd won an RS200 nationals or two.. Congrats anyway if it's your first, it's a great feeling, it's been exactly forty years since my first, and stupid though it might seem I'm still hopeful I haven't seen my last.

No camera on during the event, class rules don't seem to allow them for racing (although obviously I've had them on for some pursuit races).

To continue the tradition of helping other in the class, I've promised to do some videos on boat prep bringing our ten year old boat up to championship shape.

Sportography.tv got some really good photo's and video, but I think most of it is being passed to RS for post production, but hopefully there should be some great stuff in there; it was a good event for some great images!

Great effort!

There were many seasoned RS800 sailors in that fleet.

Thanks, all despite spending far too much chatting rubbish on here!

First nationals win for me so mega chuffed.

Big credit to my crew who hadn't sailed for some years before jumping back and smashing it.
