Hi everyone.

Over this year ther is a speed record challage being held at Alton (fastest person on the lake wins a stonking prise) and so far there is only windsurfers hitting the top 5 places!!

If anyone thinks there really fast come to alton and knock some windsurfers off the top spot, you can hire gps systems from the club house so there is no stopping you giving it a go!

I think the 5th fastest speed is 27.7mph (me) and 1st fastest is 36.66mph

Its a great feel beating windsurfers in a boat and showing them who is best.

Come and give it a go

Speed Challenge sounds great.

We are running a time trial competition at Kielder.

We have a circle of 12 buoys, 900m in diameter, placed by GPS and you time yourself on any diagonal. Then use PY to calculate adjusted time and a further calculation for speed.

More fun when we borrow a Velocitek and then get to see the route on google earth!

Fastest so far an RS600.

A fastest round the circle might be fun too...
