I prefer Mr Zoggs sex wax never had my feet slip off the surfboard and it works great on the decks of the T (smells nice too if you like coconut) Another option is stippled gelcoat mix a wee bit of silica or micro balloons into the gelcoat to make it stiff a small amount of surfacing wax so the gelcoat doesnt go all sticky and not set then paint on and stipple with a paintbrush hard wearing but doesn't mix well with bare flesh. If there are any hurricane 5.9's at your club have a look at the outside edges of the decks that is how AW does this Edited by scottish_tornad |

I'ev used a product from A company called Minator UK it is simply an aerosol can that sparys out a textured Epoxy only problem is the limited colours, Black, Yellow and one other can't remember what but is slso available in clear. Simple to use and cheap to boot £9.99 inc. VAT and Delivery i'm very impressed so far doesn't slip even under water it is agressive but so so much as you'd damage your sailing gear.
Here's some pics if they work:- Edited by landlocked |

Sorry, suggar!!!! surely itll disolve!! Personally ive had it with progrip - been using it for years, but when you want to push out from the middle of the boat onto the wire after a fast tack it becomes all slipperly!!! its like it becomes slipperly when wet - and its all over the floor of my 12! Thats comming off! Use the abrasive stuff, had it on the edge of my A class fatastic stuff. as for hurting your knees - who said that!?!? GET OFF THE FLOOR!!!! If your in an I14 you should be on the wire anyway, or get a bigger rig |

Or one other cheap option is to progrip the bottom of your wetsuit boots! you may laf - but a friend did it, just left them on the boat - swapped over boots and went sailing! works well, but a bit of an effort if you ask me!

Sugar desolves and stays sticky for weeks. Sand is heavy, although very cheap if you nick itr from the beach. Two methods I have used are; Hi build primer mixed with silica and roll on. Leaves a tough stipled effect. Epoxy primer undercoat mixed with Griptex exta coarse particles, leaves a more profesional look. |
