Just spent my lunch break in a field over the road from work flying my new power kite!

That thing makes a hefty pull, won't take a lot more breeze before I'm flying with it! It nearly pulled me off my feet a few times .. Same for a colleague who came over with me ...

Definitely a good buy! (A lot cheaper than a new kite for the Vareo as well .. I wonder how well it'll work downwind!  )

Bit of match racing this weekend at Queen Mary in the J80s, very pleasant indeed!

Just got back from Llangorse, Wales where I took the 200 for the week.

Joined 18 other boats for a race series but lack of wind or too much wind made it interesting. Mind you we had sunshine so i can't moan too much.

Got a submarine shaped trophy (let you lot work that one out)

First race of the season, for me, on Wednesday at farmoor.  Thanks to the Chap who told be course and start sequence.  That gave me to oppotunity to start well and slowly move backwards

Remembered why I don't sail Lasers, paticularly full rig and more paticularly ones that I haven't had chance to set up.  Ouch, ouch, bloody outhaul in that order

I might be sailing it, but it's still sh**e!

I am afraid that 541 went a little over a year ago - to Finland IIRC

Ben's training is always worth the effort - light or heavy weather.  Drop the mast, strap her down and hitch it up

Are you doing the contender training with Ben Holden at the weekend?  I am watching the forecast to see if it will be worth making the journey
the same, but different...

Was planning to take the 5oh out on Sunday

Bog all wind forcast and actual - Helm and I decided not to bother

I may actually get a sail next weekend if the wind turns up (probably be a force 7 gusting 9 )
