It was the Lemon Hill Bridge Race.today at Alton Water. The start was delayed by an hour as we waited for the wind to fill-in but we managed to attract 32 runners and riders and a good time was had by all - an excellent day's sailing on part of the reservoir that we don't normally get chance to use,

Was the Alto out in that race?

And what handicap have they issued it now?

The b'strds down here are trying to saddle me with 915 now just because
they can't sail their flaming five oh to 902.

So we're getting screwed not only by crap courses, we hardly managed to
sail it to 930 last year over the small reach fetch run things we sail most of
the time here.

The Alto didn't take part today but at the last Lemon Hill Bridge Race on New Year's day it sailed on a PY of 930 and came in second behind a Phantom and in front of an Osprey,

Well they claim to have spotted that it was campaigned at a winter series up
there and alotted 910, then again it could be a wind up, the five oh boys
also work out the results.

Whatever the fun is in the race and we're not that bothered, flattered in fact
they think we can sail it to that level, we were a couple of minutes ahead this
weekend after a bit of a lottery drifter start that left us quite well back on
the line but the five oh wasn't there, just Contenders, the MPS an RS600,
470's Lasers and Supernovas.

Had a great time over the last four days sailing my Laser in the Keyhaven Yacht Club Easter Regatta. Relaxed sailing amongst really friendly people. Many thanks to the race officers and volunteers.

Great to get back on the water - my first sailing since October! A new baby really does eat into sailing time!

was at Hayling/ Weston over the weekend, watched a few races at Weston, not the greatest of courses (reach-reach almost) didn't sail myself though.

then towed Dave's B14 home, had a little crowd of cat sailors watching me pull out of the club, as if they were expecting my little car to not be able to make it!

Was planning to take the 5oh out on Sunday

Bog all wind forcast and actual - Helm and I decided not to bother

I may actually get a sail next weekend if the wind turns up (probably be a force 7 gusting 9 )

Are you doing the contender training with Ben Holden at the weekend?  I am watching the forecast to see if it will be worth making the journey
the same, but different...
