I have two nephews - 7 & 5, who live in the Netherlands - they are fluent in Dutch, the local dialect (Venlose), English and do quite well in German. I think that the English have got it wrong!!

It is a hard language though, the words all go in the wrong place! I really tried, but got nowhere with it...found Spanish a lot easier! |

Yeah I ended up giving up on my german after 5 years but carried the french on. Though my sis is pretty much fluent in German now |

I never learnt german but have been studying french for 9 years now. I think i prefer German, i find it easier.
