First enterprise open of the year at Rugby and Daventry. small lake, decent amount of wind coming over blocks of flats (think foce 2 to force 4 in the blink of an eye at a 45 degree shift) and sailing with a crew that I had not sailed the ent with in 9 months.  ended up with a respectable mid fleet finish 5 out of 10, and sunburn!

Beat a few people that we had a lot of trouble beating this time last year, so we have made a decent leap up the fleet during the winter sailing period.  well happy.

Enterprise 22619 - to be renamed "Krossbow"

I got annihilated in the Cheurb today. First time
sailing in a while. Not since the nationals in August really. Turned up at Grafham expecting 10-13 knots
forecast at the whole things was covered with white caps
most of the time.

We finished off a few jobs rigged up and hit the water.
Instant twinability and upwind with '97 rules sails
which was a lot of fun! Pitch poled upwind mad style
several times. The rescue boat said it looked pretty
impressive! Tipped it in on almost every turn and the
tiller extension fell off. It's now floating around
Grafham somewhere. We tried to pop the kite but it
jammed up just flopped completely. A little refinement and we'll be good to go!

Dead chuffed with the new boat. When I finished with it
it'll be less shed, more ballistic missile.

Pretty difficult weekend at Stokes for the World Qualifier.

Only one Gold fleet race on the Sunday for the Radials...

Fairly enjoyable weekend at Rutland, though it turns out our sailing ability goes from "mediocre" to "utter rubbish" when my helm is suffering overly (being a big girl) from the antics of the previous evening...

Poor Ratface, another visit to the doctor and more weeks from not sailing.

He will inform us later but I am not sure the boat beat him up, more his body telling him something, the boat didn't hurt him.

well, it appears me and lasers don't get on anymore...
trapped nerve in right arm and a lovely hairline fracture just above my elbow, and its the boats fault, happened just as the boat sped up mid reach

Totally agree.  Lovely helm who decided not to sail this weekend. Did consider sorting my boat out and going for a sail, then the sky went grey.

So, went for a walk with my flatmate.  The wind picks up, the sky goes black.  Told him, it was going to rain in about 5 mins.  He disgreed.  I sprinted to the warm, dry pub.  He didn't... arrived about 10 minutes later soaking.  Moral of the story... always listen to a sailor, they know best.
