The three rigs thing sounds interesting but could this be a compromise too far with adjustable racks too?

Nearly all equalisation boats seemed to have simplified and in some cases dropped this measure all together.

I think the only really fair way is to allow light weights, to wear a weight jacket upto a total set weight, of say 100kg. If not a weight jacket, add lead to the boat upto the required weight. But all this does seem unecessary as every dog has it's day.

What we don't want ... certainly in the uk ... is another performance single hander that only lightwights can be competitve in.

I'd need 40kg of weight jacket then .. I don't think I'd be able to STAND for long with that on, let alone drag myself up onto a slippery turtled hull or daggerboard!

stayless could be a very big problem i know i can the bend the vareo mast in anything over 25 knots thats why i have the vareo test mast with spreaders on it which is quicker upwind plus you get to point about 5 degress higher than the standard mast.
