Yep I'll be put off forever.

Sailboats.co.uk is superb - order one morning, get it the next day (thats 1st class postage price).  The only time one order was late was due to Royal Mail being crap.

Highly recommended.

Another big   for Northampon Sailboats (sailboats.co.uk), I've never had anything but superb service from them. And when you 'phone up you speak to someone who knows what they (and more importantly what you) are talking about.

Oh, edited to say that their postal charges are very reasonable too, unlike a lot of online stores!

Mike

Can't beat visiting a chandlery sometimes. Fortunately for me MailSpeed Marine aren't far away!

Yep, both our local chandlers give discounts to members of sailing clubs, and you save the risks, delay and expense of the post.

Just as important, you get to hold the goods in your hands and be really sure they're what you want before you buy.

So while I do buy quite a bit via the web, I only do so when I can't get it locally.

With all retailers, whether web-based or not, I always prefer to use a company I have heard good reports about.  IMHO customer service is extremely important.

We have built our Directory of Repairers and Suppliers based on positive feedback from our clients and all have earned their place in the directory.

If you know of any deserving company not listed, let me know.

Jon

I use P&B for most things with the odd deviation towards Rooster for clothes. I have had P&B phone me up if there are any problems, outstanding all round...
