I've seen systems before that run forwards to the mast, down to the floor and then back along. Creates more space in the middle...

i see what you mean, its difficult to tell. looks like a standard aft sheeting
system which goes through the boom, but then i can't find it when it comes off the boom, and the helm seems to be reaching for the cockpit floor... difficult to tell jumping around so much. |

It only looks like 15 knots because that's the apparent. It was actually about 8knots, for about 2 minutes. I'll dig out the gps track & see what speed we were going. You'll have to ask Will about the moving his body & the tiller. I imagine he is hunting for power to try to get the apparent up enoight to come out on the wire but it is still pretty shifty. I have no idea what happens down wind: I'm watching the kite luff and waiting for the signal to gybe.... |
