Great to see all the fantastic coverage of the Mirror Worlds in the latest issue of the magazine,  first time an all girl team have won the Championship

But can anyone think of any other all girl teams that have won any World Championships in an open event ????

Mixed (the woman helming) teams won the Cherub Worlds twice in the 1970s, but all female teams have been very very rare in the class. In fact I can't remember a single one other than a couple of occasions when the ladies from two different crews joined up to do the Ladies Nationals.

An american Joan(?) Ellis won the fireball worlds, in 1976 or thereabouts but her husband, Art, was crewing.  They used a split mainsheet led from the transom which was novel at the time (certainly the first time I'd ever seen it) but which is pretty standard now.
