Keep send those pictures of snow... we have to go to the mall to see snow here in sunny and (more often than before) windy Dubai. OK the snow IS made fresh each night but looks good. Great to see people all togged up and playing in the snow, when you are wearing shorts! and then .. you just ... pop outside ... and in a couple of km's you go sailing in "warm" water. Mind you, the Tall buildings do make the "local" wind more interesting (and occasionally) boring :-) Now, why do big boat racers send their teams here for winter training? They do look great though. You can actually see quite some good views from the shore too - now that is good for sailing spectators!

just bright beautiful sunshine here, blue skies to match. blowing a 4-5 north
easterly to make it freeeeezing cold though. shame about that ship on the doorstep to ruin a perfectly good day

Winter is crap cos the public transport system just shuts down, meant that i was late for work this morning, as trains were delayed and tubes had severe delays. Only good thing is so far (fingers crossed) no races have been cancelled due to weather in the frostbite series i'm doing. |
