Was quite fun, tricky tho. Going from tiptoe trapping to the other side of the boat then back out again on the same leg was interesting to say the least . Also fell out the boat on a tack - forgetting i wasn't in our Osprey and that there was nothing to hook my feet into  . Good racing, that Fireball was very quick, well done to them for winning it  , i thought it was gonna be a singlehander or a 2 man hiker.

I am not all that old, 61 but I remember, when I was a long distance truck driver some years ago loading on those docks and sure as hell no one would have been buggering about in that water then. When a small boy the upper pool, above Tower Bridge was full of ships and I saw a sailing barge working in Rotherhythe. It all seems very odd. I'm off to bed with me cocoa now.....strange new world.

It was a shame because I wanted the B14's to win!

Not really the type of water that lends itself to high speed skiffs, or A-Class Catamarans - I was tootling downwind at a genteel pace and that thing was flying!  Must be very impressive when it's got enough space to really move.

I see we now have the top ten results on the news section. Its a shame with it being a Y&Y sponsered event the full results are not there to see.

That Fireball really was going as fast as it looked - only trapeze boat in the top ten - and without one of its wires for the last lap. The gap to the B14's wasn't changing lap by lap either, so far as I could see.

Very impressive.

If you take another look at news page which featured the event, they have added the results for all 50 participants.

Welcome to the rant-line.

Did I miss something or was the sail.tv coverage on y&y appauling. Boats milling around before the start for 2 minutes seems to be the extent of it. I would be embarrased to put my name to it. Ain't sail.tv supposed to be experts at covering our sport?  Or is it just a preview. If so why bother it doesn't cover the product in glory. The was plenty of action.

I dispair at most tv coverage of our sport. The best productions are done by amateurs, the sailors themselves.
