Hi Paul

It's so new, I put it together in my garden on Sunday, sat there and admired it for 5 minutes and then took it apart - very windy and wet so not the best day to put my pride and joy on the water for the first time.  Am sailing it this weekend so will let you know.  Do you know if any of your guys will be doing the Grafham Grand Prix, have entered it but am expecting to be the only Solution.

Doug, good advice, have seen pictures of the start line and it looks very fraught!  Would still like to have a go though!

Giles

The tiger is a great event although maybe not the most suitable when getting to grips with a boat.  The racing can be pretty packed, and the last thing you want is to ding (or even worse) your brand new boat.

Giles,

Well done on the Solution, what are your first impressions of it? Have your local Phantoms taken you under their wing? (They have at Hunts we now have 3 with a 4th coming).

A Red Eye Solution, just taken delivery of it so looking forward to getting to grips with it.  Am currently based up near Warrington, my local club is Leigh and Lowton.

Where are you based and what do you sail?

I have a new boat and am looking forward to trying it out at different events, I have read about about the Tiger Trophy at Rutland SC for a long time and would like to try it.  My only concern is that when I look at the results, 80-90% of boats are double handers - makes sense when it's dedicated to John Merricks, but I have a singlehander and don't want to feel left out.

What's everyone's impression of this event, is it worth it when you have a singlehander?
