Of the crap, bottom of the line lagers, I think that I would take a fosters over a Carling. Mainly due to the fact that warm fosters doesn't taste quite as horrific as the alternatives.

The best lager has to be Carlsberg Export. That stuff is magic. Same abv. as Stella but without giving you the urge to either fight a random or abuse your loved one.

Being that I live a mile from the now closed down Gales brewery (not happy about that mr fullers ) I would have to say that HSB is the greatest ale of all time. It's only 4.8% but that stuff will make a mess of you after very few pints!

Are you talking about Waggledance or HoneyDew by any chance James? Both of them are a good drop too

Not sure if I such a big fan of the adnams

But some extensive testing has gone into finding the best best pint of St Autstel Tribute around, my vote is for The Victoria Inn in Salcombe.

It does seem to be a good pint any where in the SW though.

Must also mention Sailash Sailing/Yacht Club for its very fine pint of Betty Stoggs.

Well I'm ashamed to say it but I don't generally drink beer for the taste... so the existence of a 2% beer seems completely pointless to me! I'd rather have a water or a coke if I was driving!

Carling Premier is the nuts. Can't get it everywhere but its in a swanky Silver and black can. It's kind of like a very smooth John Smiths with more class... love it

I discovered C2 in sainsburys on saterday afternoon... whats with that?

Carling isnt exactly the beer of choice normaly (except fridays when its £1.40 in the lord todd) but 2% carling? what would posess you to do that?

Id have loved to be there in the meeting when some genious came up with that idea.
Id have slapped him.
