Ross your MAD!

It was cold at HOAC, spent most of the race rescuing a Hobie 405 that turtled. Got rid of the crew to the shore then the other rescue boat towing it managed to prop wrap the sail (impressive) So had to two a rescue boat (forwards) and a hobie (backwards)

Shame Villian wasn't around with his camera, he and Ratfaced popped down earlier in the day. (Good luck Villian and HannahJ at the Tiger)

Club sailing today in the 3 tonner. Proper round the
cans stuff with a shifty breeze and crazy weather
conditions. Sunshine, low visibility, snow, 20 knots, 7
knots, all made an appearance in varying combinations in
the brief couple of hours we were on the water.

Not the ideal conditions or course for us. We're over
weight for an old 3K (about 23 stone all up) so anything
less than a 4 and we just feel under powered so it was
constant battle of;
"right, it's windy now. Max it out! And get some
distance on the solo's!"

and

"Bugger, those solo's are getting bigger..."

Had a good day out on the 9er. Didn't get wet at all which makes a first! Too many mirrors and htings to dodge though. Was about 11 knots to begin with then it suddenly dropped to about 6-7 so we got bored and came in but was not bad since haven't sailed it since July! Need to get some of those thermal builders gloves though.. Was just wearing gill winter ones but not really enough grip.. But too cold to wear the normal builders gloves.

Anyone know somewhere I can get those thermal ones preferably online?

I got a phone call while I was wating my breakfast, "Can you hear that traffic ... We are on the M25 ... Ummm .. Car's broken ... "

I, being the kind soul I am, laughed, and said I would wave as I drove past them.

(un)Fortunately, another car was pressed into service, and we caught up with them just before the sailing club. Que phone call from dave.blakesley ... "Can you guys lead ... We don't know the way..."

I'm still not sure what they broke .. Driveshaft was mentioned, as was gearbox ... and then later something about it being one cable?
