Dave, as ever, you are the font of all knowledge !

In the meantime we have found a bloke that says he'll be able to replace said element (thus saving the Christmas roast dinner) and therefore saving your salad dressing option for another occasion ( I think that I know a similar recipe?)

Thanks as ever for your prompt response,

Nigel

Dear Dave,
I have a new baby daughter, which makes 3 now. How can I brainwash them all to love sailing, and prepare them to become a gold medal-winning team in the Elliott 6m at the Olympics? Or will ISAF have finally accepted the 29erXX by then....

Thanks for your words of wisdom,
Mags

Congratulations Mags. Best way to get them sailing is to tell them they will hate it and that they wont want to come out with you.

At the moment it all sounds good. However in a few years time you will relish those few hours you have to yourself at the sailing club.

Either that, or they will want a pony?

One child is scared of large animals - result! Will probably be scared of water too though...

At present they enjoy playing in my boat in the driveway, clambering all over it and pulling ropes.

Yep I was reading Billy Goats Gruff the other night to
our little one...
replacing the word 'troll' with the word 'horse'....
hoping to get in there early
with the phobia of expensive, home fertiliser systems
that destroy sailing
time.

PLAYED!

Pleased to hear the other day that my wife now realises horses are dangerous. I subtly mentioned how boats don't throw you off and break your legs, but she still isn't convinced overall.

Boats are a lot more dangerous, I have capsized more boats than I have horses!
Needs to sail more...
