None! Not worth scratching the paint for anyway.

Been for the boxing day race, OK, but put the boat on it's side when I heard the White Peter going up. Ended up 3rd as usual. Good turn out, but bitter on the water.

Sausage rolls, mince pies and rum then in the clubhouse.

Alton Water's 'Lemon Hill Bridge Race' took place today - it was a bit chilly and the winds were very light but it was very social affair - we even had a safety boat dishing out mince pies to all the competitors at the top mark (this did not count as outside assistance). Quite a few forumites were involved, including a special guest appearance by Bert sailing his Rooster 8.1 for the first time. Not only was a good time had by one and all but we also raised a lot of money for the local special care baby unit,

I was out doing the hangover race at Hill Head today, It wasn't as cold as the boxing day race but it wasn't exactly warm. I was first on the water by a leg and a bit, to an RS500, and came first on handicap! not a bad start to the year
600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.

Nigel....good to see the Lemons Hill race took place despite the wind. We were planning to give the 5k its first outing (which no doubt would have added to the overall hilarity watching our endeavours !) but my 16 year old son who was supposed to be helming ended up at party miles away and it got too complicated (needs to get his priorities right !...perhaps he has). Hope to make up for it this weekend when we will drop in a donation......how is that 8.1 in light winds ?

Neil
