Well, 2nd thread ive made here ... the last one is old and out of date.

New specs.

Double hander
Hiker or single trapeze
Spinaker - not necescary

Budget £850 or thereabouts.

Basically, me and a freind are looking for a second boat we can get some kicks out of, and generally blast around on. We sail on a small inland lake, and also occasionally on chichester harbour / hayling bay.

Total weight in the region of 21 stone.

We are currently considering:

Laser 2 Regatta
National 12
Merlin Rocket

We dont care wether it is SMOD or Development, as long as its withing the budget, and fits the criteria above.

Open to a few suggestions, or flames, or whatever .. as long as it stays ON TOPIC.

Cheers

Tasar could be a good bet.  What about a laser 4000?

I would suggest a Lark but I'm biased there, but the class association is extremely friendly and open, which I think gives it the edge. Also worth considering a 420 if you can find one in budget that isn't knackered. Old Scorpion would also be worth considering and also Firefly.
