In another magazine (not Y&Y) there's a Southampton Boat Show Guide that includes a full page add from Laser touting their new exhibits: Pico Sport Dart 16X + The unveiling of Laser's brand new boat Does anyone know what this new boat is and where it would fit into the range/what it would replace?

does it have to replace anything? topper have been releasing a lot of good plastic fantastic boats lateley they must see a space for at least some compeditor boats

I was racing at the Vago Nationals in Weymouth at the weekend, which was attended by Jo Richards to whom I had chance to chat to briefly, and yes Laser are introducing a new boat, which will be larger than the Vago and more stable. Obviously this will give the forumities another opportunity to rant at new smods versus old classes and GRP versus plastic, i.e. a rerun of the Vago and RS500 debates rolled into one. |

Oh joy. For a brief minute I thought it could be a replacement for the 4000, after the rumour elsewhere on this forum that it was being dropped...but no. It sounds like the laser answer to the Vision, but won't that overlap with the L2000's market?
