They might have, but they release the kicker to tack. The best thing about being rather small for Contender, I don't have to let the kicker out. I've got enough other things to think about!

 

Like... quick release the kicker before it completely capsizes... Get on the centreboard and grab the trapeze rope for leverage!!!        & nbsp;         & nbsp; 3 times

Roughly 60 cm (Just crouched down with BA on and got bro to measure height 5cm above higest point ) - i do however have a cringle in my sail and i am a lanky bast so others may have it lower. Saying that IMO you should be more concerned with getting a height that you're comfortable with in the Cherub rather than going for the minimum as is seen in other dinghy's.

Just in the process of rigging and setting up my new mast but have got to lower the gooseneck a bit to fit my sail. I know the Contender has a reputation for having a low boom... but how low is it? Could people measure the height of the boom from the floor just so I know what is a realistic height!
