The written story of Q O S has Bond as someone who is listening to a story about other people. The film story has nothing to do with the written one. At least Casino Royal used most of Fleming's book. I'm with Jack as I think OMHSS is a splendid book and film.

It's a good film but it wasn't a bond film.
NO gadgets NO real evil plots or giant super weapons the car was a KA! he didn't get with the main girl No awful puns no rediculous gunfights |

I really didn't get that much of the plot, I think I uinderstood what was happening most the time but didn't get why. It definately wasn't a bond film, although he did get kicked off the case before he could solve it so maybe it was more of a detective film.

Did any one watch casino royale? Its basically a follow up from that. It wasnt that hard to follow tbh. I thought it was really good.

I got lost. Very lost.
Not enough gadgets, and even the fight scenes were rubbish! *cut* bond running *cut* someone else doing something *cut* oh hang on ... where are we now? If you take it as a film on its own, its OK ... Definitely not the best Bond film i've ever seen though. I've heard there is a 3rd part to come as well ... |

totally agree, 'quantum of solace'... i think i heard the word 'quantum' once
during the whole film... else it made no sense! and there seemed to be a few holes in the plot as you went along... and he drove his car ONCE and it wasnt even bulletproof!! |

Quantum of what? Agree with you dave... Didn't get any of the plot, apart from that he seemed to like killing people, and that he was in trouble with MI5, but I liked it apart from that. Some good stunt scenes etc.

Oh ... and if you go and see it .. Don't expect much from the theme song.
Its one of few times you hear "Quantum" in the entire film ... If I wasn't concentrating on staying awake, I must admit I probably could have had a quick nap ....  |
