I have no problems with them ... I have a pair of holt autos on my spinni.

This just gives me a chance to do all the little mods ive been meaning to do for months.

Need to cgeck centerboard slot as well, I somehow managed to hit a submerged treestump yesterday .. its usually about 4 ft deep ... I think the level is definatley getting lower now

Yeah, I did think it was slightly useless, seeing as it only turned on when it was pulling the boom down!

Oh well ... now to find someone to steal a block from

I hate auto ratchets, had one on my Laser for 2 days before it broke, I took it back and got a refund!

As for embarassing events I almost knocked myself clean out the boat on Sunday (good job I have a carbon boom now).

Oh the joys of Auto Ratchets thats why I stopped using them. But at least you didnt manage to break a Harken block worth 800 Aust$'s or ruin a sail worth much much more (at midnight no less - god that was a hell of a night)...

Nope, the "birdie" was very wrong :P

I just havn't sailed it much recently due to it either being too windy (yes, it does happen occasionally) or me being too busy with college.

Bad thing that came out of yesterday was that I somehow managed to break my autorachet. It "clicks" when it has no load on it, and as you sheet in and it should turn on ... it turns off.

I thought you had got rid of the Vareo Villan? A little bird told me you are now the proud owner of an RS700 (or were they wrong?)

(Edit.
