I worked at Royal Victoria Dock over the summer (the one next to Excel) and words can not describe how sh*t it is! Once you get past the derelict factory it's sailable but otherwise it's just awful.

If you can't carry it, don't sail it!

but then again, sailing is sailing, right? Especially if it is in school time!

We took a group to the London youth games there back in June. Was a pants day cos of the wind angle, if the wind is coming from behind the buildings you've had it.

Launching is fine but the sailing (using their "boats") would be pants.

But yes if I had the chance to sail during school time I would of done, be prepared to get fustrated!

I sailed in the carmela cup there (during the boat show) at the start of the year and to be honest with the right wind direction it wasnt that terrible. The less said the better about when the wind is comming across it. However it was doable and the novelty factor is high!

I would have done anything to sail in school time, even if it was just sitting in a boat in no wind.  Go for it, nomatter how frustrating it is week in, week out, it will be worth it for just one half decent day!
