mmm its a good topic. I sail at Sidmouth ( really steep beaches), and we all use wheel barrow style tyres. my top tip would be to make sure that the tyres are fully inflated. Any lack in pressure will make heaving the boat up the beach a lot harder! ( simple I know)

anyone who tells you you get more grip is a FOOL!!!! who needs grip in a straight line at 2 mph!

Good tip that, only don’t over inflate them, err we did and came to go sailing yesterday only to find that in the sun light, the inner tube had bust and blown the tyre of the rim!

The wheel was under pressure, as it did have an Osprey sat on it after all.

Looking at the tyre it doesn’t quite fit the rim of the hub, tyre just slightly too big. Have been told that some Laser launching trolleys use to have the same problem. So it would pay you all to have a look at your tyre pressures next time you go sailing. So there aren’t any nasty surprises when it comes to launch.

yea especially on my buzz because they are hard enough to pull up hills as it is without having a flat tyre

even harder when it is full of water after forgetting to put the bung in
