Point 1.  Who says they don't have other stuff on them, they are after all owned by the US DOD.

Point 2.  They are a ranged based system so don't really use trig to calculate postion.

I hope this information is sufficiently useless.

the first laser ever is called TGIF Weekender, TGIF (thank god its friday) after what was stitched onto the sail and weekender because it was the original name for the project

The GPS satellites secondary job is scan the world for nuclear explosions.
