i use the gil equivalent of magic marine dry gloves and they're great for grip and warmth  their completely dry. i cant remember what theyre called though.

No if you put your hand in the water to say push your rudder down, they get cold water in, the fleece doesn't work as well and your hands start to get cold. The grip is good with them though. In my experience they're fine in temps down to around 1 or 2 deg (depending on wind chill). Below that temp the Magic Marines are best for warmth but are awkward and have poor grip.

yeah, the lining is fleecy and very warm. It's essential that you only take them off once... at the end of the sail or you'll be having issues!

Ye they are the 1s. I have that problem with the lining but still thought they are a good glove!

Are the gill extremes the ones with the yellow reinforcing.. if so then they are very warm but most tricky to take on and off due to a lining inside the glove. Very awkward... especially if your hands are wet already

i had a season with the Gill Extreme gloves and my hands NEVER got cold. Very good glove. Shame my 'friend' lost on of them!
