I use the Magic Marine dry gloves - they are the best I have tried but they are a bit clumsy; ok for the Laser. Rick |

Get some grippy gloves and wear rubber (washing up / industrial safety) gloves underneath. Neoprene and Marigolds. Works a treat.

The Rooster Aqua pro gloves are so warm. I use them every winter and they're great, although they do lack a bit of grip for skiff sailing, apart from that they're great! See http://www.sail-sport.com/cgi-bin/ss.cgi?usr=55211&page= shop&supercat=A&cat=B&subcat=GLV they have them at a very reasonable price! The link to Sail Sport LTD by meyself is because Sail Sport PLC are my sponsor and I am quoting that price an example of the price of the gloves. Gloves are available from other chandlaries at the same or different prices. |

I have the same problem with cold hands and I used to have the Rooster
Aqua Pro gloves but they havn't got enough warmth for the winter.
I now use the Magic Marine Dry gloves with yellow DIY/gardening gloves
over the top. You get the warmth from the dry gloves and also
fantastic grip!

I use the Magic Marine dry gloves and found them slippery at first, but I went over the palms with an abrasive and they are now much better - just need to take the shine off them.

I sail a Laser in N America where it is really cold in the winter. Can anyone recommend some really good winter gloves. Have tried the Magic Marine dry gloves which are great for warmth but lousy for grip. Any other recommendations appreciated |
