Had quite a response from the mailing list so far. People must not be bothered to sell their stuff!

Have you tried the I14 mailing list?  http://listserv.loukes.com/mailman/listinfo/14list

There must be loads of old kites out there in garages which will never see the light of day again, it's just a matter of tracking them down.

Whether a Boss or L5000 kite 'fits' will be as much to do with luff/leach/foot ratios as absolute area.  2sqm isn't a big deal if you're on a very tight budget, I suspect that you get varations approaching that order between different designs of 14 kite anyway.

Mike

I can post a pic but it ripped the last time I used it too and cost £20 to repair. The guy who did the repair said the kite had had it and this will keep happening so to replace it. Sure enough, the next time I took it out it ripped again

There is no crispiness to the material at all!

Modified to new rules Morrison 7A. There never seem to be any on the I14 site and since the whole boat cost £800 so I'm on a bit of a budget! If anyone hears of one for sale let me know.
