Where is that? Felixstowe? Southend?

Are they using a trapeze?

It's at Southend.

No the 59er on the Medway sails exactly to the class rules, including adding lead if the crew weight doesn't exceed 150kg.

Yeah it's great fun!  Got a bit of a problem with it leaking at the moment though that's making fore-aft trim on the foils pretty tricky so I'm gonna have to try and find the hole and patch it up.

Light winds on the Medway.  We safety boated on Saturday, the river was a picture with sparkling water, sunshine and Dragons, Squibs, Sonatas and our dinghies all racing.  However the wind was light.

Sunday was lighter still, we didn't bother and I don't know if others did later.

Spent Saturday at London Corinthian, turned up to find no-one there and no wind/water.

Come 12 still not a lot of wind but as there was water made the "visitor" decision that we should go for it. If you haven't been there, sailing is up by Hammersmith Bridge, tide is ripping even an hour before HW. Anyway, had a good race in lovely sunshine. RO decided not enough wind to do another race as the tide had already turned.

Sunday, decided to stay in bed cos there wasn't a lot of wind, enought probably to move but that would be it.

Watch out, Redback,  your arch-rivals in the 59er were out practicing for a couple of hours when the wind filled in a bit (occasionally up to Saturday's level around 3 - 4p.m.). Gave me something to look at as I sipped Greene King on my balcony...

Race officer this weekend, the first sunny steady light wind race of the
season. Still I got them to split the start into slow and fast handicap which
worked pretty well in one 10-5-4-1-off sequence with the slow handicap
going on the 4.

Spent the whole of the weekend trying to get races in for the south west zone championships but unfortunately we couldn't get any races either saturday and sunday due to no wind at all, although we did run a paddling race yesterday just for fun and to try and fill the time also listened to a very good talk by Joe Glanfield who was guest of honour
Josh Preater

BUZZING IS FUN
