Posting a sail ?

When I have sent or recieved sails, Courier charges have been between £10 and £20.

A lot of it depends on the weight of the item, but talk to a local carpet shop. See if you can get one of the card tubes that goes down the middle of a carpet. Can usually fit a sail down the middle of that .. Or at worst, slide the sail around that.

Wrap it in black bags so noone knows what it is, and there ya go!

And personally .. City Link! Can't beat their service. Don't, whatever you do, Send anything with Amtrak (If they are still collecting). They have just gone bust!

City link are exactly the company I wouldnt recommend after spending the best part of two weeks trying to receive a pracel from them!

I sent a Kestrel Main and Jib via Royal Mail and it cost £18. We charged £20 on ebay the other £2 was used for recycled bublewrap paper stuff and tape!

So it is possible but just wrap carefully!

I received one in a lovely big cardboard tube once.
I sent a Finn sail to Norths for repair flaked then rolled along the length to make a more 'normal' package, but I suppose it depends on the nature of the cloth if you would want to do that. It came back beautifully flaked and folded in a similar but much more impressive fashion. Ultimately the postage there and back cost me the same as the repair.

City Link make me swear. A lot. I've had so many bad experiences with them.
