Ideal Towing Vehicle?

   I seem to remeber already having a topic similar to this?

anyway:

1. Mk4 Vauxhaul Astra 1.6 (ok, stop laughing now...)

2. The VW Toureg would be the best towing vehicle IMO because of its
mountains of tourque, but my ideal vehicle would have to be some kind
of camper.

	I've searched the forums and can't find that anyone's discussed the merits of any particular vehicles for towing. I've been using a 3.2V6 (petrol) Isuzu Trooper for the last 12 years and although it's a good old workhorse, it is VERY thirsty and I am thinking about replacing it. I think my ideal replacement would be a Volvo XC90 with the 5 cylinder turbo diesel - but I don't think I could afford it. So can I just throw open a discussion on 1. What is your present towing vehicle? 2. What would be your ideal towing vehicle and why? I guess that coupled with those questions would be what is realistically the most suitable tow vehicle for Mr Average and if you think you've already got a really good towing vehicle, why?
