Rush harness with Gerber EZ out knife - great combo

I have had my Rush harness 10 years and it's only on its second seat ...

P & B do a nappy harness with a detachable hook which is very good.

I've been using one for a few months now, and you wouldn't know its not a standard hook.

Get one of those and it dosen't matter what they do with the rule!!

i heard a rumour that the rule was merely going to make the bit of rubber illegal on standard hooks which stops the ring from falling out. I personally cut that bit off on the first time i used my harness (which is a Crewsaver Adjustable Nappy, very good as it's fully adjustable yet has covers over the straps so nothing to get snagged on) as it feels a bit dodgy!

Jus get a normal one , if they do bring in the rule (unlikely) then u can just buy a new spreader bar!

Aaah right so do you think it is likely that the trapeze harnesses without the device will all be phased out by jan 06, do you think it is worth buying a noram one for the time being or not? As they are so expensive, i want to get one which i will be able to use for a while!

yeah, AIUI at the moment that rule is on hold until there's an International Standard. Could all change in November though.

Hi i know this has probably been asked before but i don't know the answer!

I need to buy a trapeze harness fairly soon becuase i am currently borrowing my mates. I thought i would obviously need one of the new quick release systems on there but when i was looking lots of places said that NSSA/RYA were reviewing this rule.

I am confused. Does this mean i can buy a normal harness and carry a knife or do i still need to buy one with the new system on?
