Yeah hopefully it shouldnt take too long, hope to have it on the water by the end of the summer hols, then we won't have much time to 'do it up' so it would be good if its ready to sail, then we can jump in and go!

Hmm Anyone have any idea what sort of maximum windspeed me and my helm would be able to take it out in, we weigh about 9 or 9 & 1/2 each.

Weight should not be a problem at that weight you should be fine till after they have stopped racing :-)

The great thing about the small rig Cherubs is that they are a bit underpowered and so can be taken out in big winds.

Just get a good wetsuit and work up the wind speed as you get more used to the boat,

If it doesn't break it's too heavy; if it does it wasn't built right

anything over F3 is going to be scary but there will be
no issues with weight. Just get used to the boat first
befor going out in a fresh breeze. And remember on
the bear aways in any breeze to move back ( and I
mean back! ) and for the crew to stay out on the wire.
Or it will be wetquite quickly.

Davro (Cherub legend) reckons the ideal crew weight for a Cherub is 18stone, even with 2005 rules! So you guys shold be fine in anything!
