Saturday I did a club race crewing for my lady in a firefly, it was a patchy
drifter but I actually had a good time.
Can anyone tell me, are firefly's meant to have fixed position jib cleats or is
there a racier version with adjustable cleat positions??

I had a fab sail today at Farmoor.  Finally nailed the bearing away thing too.

115 is small. i am lightish. about 70-75kg. 115 is enough to be able to uphaul my mates 8m sail without sinking the board. but its quite tippy. i can windsurf well enough to use it though.
600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.
Also International 14, 1318

Saturday i went out on the 600 to do the race, i was pottering around for 10-15 minutes before my warning signal, and in this time the wid was building up to a nice force 4 possibly with a few F5 gusts, but not many of them. I was just reaching in to set my watch for the count down and realized it was someone elses start first. then i went off for a few more quicker and hairier reaches, and on one of theses the top pintell on the rudder stoc sheared off for no reason what so ever, bending the bottom pintell on the hull. 2 more pintells to find and fit before next weekend.  this is the 2nd time this has happened in 6 months.

Sunday morning i went to this windsurfing car boot sale type thing on hayling island with a freind who knows about windsurfing kit and got myself a nice shiny 6.1 sail, a 115 litre mistral synchro (something like that anyway, its got yellow go faster stripes ) and all the mast and stuff. then in the afternoon i went out on it without enough wind to get it planing but still i just need a nice F4+ day and ill be out there loving it.

600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.

Terrible day yesterday, I had the choice of fixing my Dad's Miracle, going to the coast for a day out or sailing a borrowed Vortex and I totally chose the wrong option.

No wind when I got there, after a couple of hours a nice F2 built so off we went only for it to die halfway through the race. It took 45 minutes to do half a lap and it was so hot the deck was burning my feet!

Ended up heading back in, laying on the foredeck paddling with my hands between the hulls while the rest of the fleet took a further half hour to get up the beat to the finish line.

Awesome weekend at Thornbury SC. F3-4 Seebreeze on Saturday and F2-3 on Sunday. We had a group of Cherubs come along for a sail and despite all the grief they get on this forum, they were a great bunch. Will & Lucy Lee's "Antidote to Panel Games" looked stunning and was very quick.

Precious little wind on the Medway.  Actually the sea breeze showed up at about 4.  I did some maintenance and had a beer.

Well we got our first bullet in the Alto today.

Had a slight sea breeze of about 1-2 which dwindled to bugger all by the
end of the first reach and the 5OH caught up and nailed us by dead running
then it was chasing zephyrs against the tide and using our superior
wndsurfing honed wind awareness we went on to secure a twenty minute
lead over the next boat which was the B14 that D&D had managed to coax
through the fleet.

We've had better sailing days, but at least it was warm and the sea was blue.
